The slump of all slumps
We can all agree, collectively as the humankind, that 2020 did not turn out as expected. The pandemic is still raging. People are suffering. Being overcome with negative emotions is natural in this case. Many of us feel sluggish and unmotivated, giving up on hobbies and fun things as we are still constricted in movement, travel and socialization.
We all are suffering and grieving through 2020 in our own way.
I have been struggling with reading for over a year. It started way before the pandemic due to me overworked myself and developing insomnia. Unable to concentrate on plot or even find motivation to pick up a book became a daily struggle last year. It put a screeching halt to my blogging and YouTubing.
I tried to compensate for it with my rediscovered passion for Kpop. But although I did post a couple of blog posts on the topic, I have way more in drafts stored away than what I ended up posting.
My art journaling became mostly confined to Instagram and my planning - to to-do lists.
I know I’m not the only one. And that’s okay to be like this. I am sure I will get back into blogging soon but I’m taking it easy at the moment.
Hang in there. You are not alone. 💜
